FCL and LCL, port to door: clear rates, paperwork in order, and every container visible the whole way

## You load the container. We connect everything else

Container location, contents, milestones and exceptions all live in the FreightSpot Platform. We secure space with global carriers, keep your BL and documents in order, and flag demurrage and detention early — before they become hidden costs.

## Why FreightSpot

- **Specialists on every leg, not a rate sheet**: Route, equipment type and transit time chosen for the cargo you actually move — decided by people who run this lane, not pulled from a generic quote.
- **End-to-end visibility and control**: Milestone tracking, automatic alerts and exception handling: if a transshipment slips or a container starts accruing demurrage, you know right away — not after the fact.
- **Your own numbers, ready to use**: Transit times, costs and performance by container and by lane, ready to export. Decisions based on your own shipping data, not industry benchmarks.

## FCL and LCL Services

- **Full Container Load**: A full container for recurring volume: your cargo travels sealed from origin to destination, with no intermediate handling and the best cost per cubic meter.
- **Less-Than-Container Load**: Pay only for the space you use — right for small orders, overflow, or the urgent shipment nobody planned for, with our team steering you to the best consolidation.

## Frequently asked questions

### Should I ship FCL or LCL?

Rule of thumb: from about 13–15 m³, a full container (FCL) usually costs the same or less than paying LCL by volume — and your cargo travels sealed, with no intermediate handling. Below that, LCL lets you pay only for the space you use. With your actual carton dimensions, our load calculator gives you the answer in seconds.

### How long does ocean freight take?

It depends on the lane and the port. As a rough reference: Asia–Mexico usually runs 25 to 40 days door to door including clearance; Europe and the U.S. East Coast less. When you quote, we give you the estimated transit for your specific lane, with every milestone visible in the platform.

### What documents do I need to import by ocean?

The basics: commercial invoice, packing list and the bill of lading, which we manage. Depending on the product, you may also need permits, Mexican product standards (NOMs) or proof of origin for treaty preference. Before you ship, we hand you the exact checklist for your operation — document problems get solved at origin, not at customs.

### How do I see where my container is?

In the FreightSpot Platform: every container shows its location, completed milestones and what comes next, with automatic alerts if anything drifts — delayed transshipments, vessel changes or demurrage risk.

### What happens if my container starts accruing demurrage?

Our job is to keep it from getting there: we monitor each container’s free days and warn you before the clock becomes a charge, coordinating duty payment, clearance and trucking against the actual release date. If a delay is unavoidable, you see it coming — not on the invoice.
