Mexican customs compares what you declare against what arrives. We run that inspection first — at origin, while fixing it is still cheap.

## What we do

A large share of problems at Mexican customs aren’t about taxes — they’re about discrepancies. The invoice says one thing, the packing list another, and the physical goods a third: quantities that don’t add up, mixed models, labeling that doesn’t match. At clearance, every discrepancy turns into an inspection, a delay, storage charges or a fine.

A compliance inspection at origin removes the surprise: we inspect your cargo physically and against its documents at the warehouse or port of origin, comparing the goods with the invoice, the packing list and the data the customs entry will be built from. What doesn’t match gets fixed before shipping — not in front of the authority.

## When you need it

- You’re starting with a new supplier, or your current one has shipped you discrepancies before
- Your goods invite inspection: mixed models, serial numbers, sizes or part numbers
- The operation can’t absorb delays — a production line waiting, or a closing sales window
- Your product’s labeling is regulated, and an error means the shipment gets held at clearance

## Benefits

- What you declare matches what travels: the document cross-check arrives clean at clearance
- Fewer delays, storage charges and fines from discrepancies caught late
- Photo evidence of the cargo’s real condition before it ships
- The customs entry is built from verified data — not whatever the supplier sent

## How it works

1. **We schedule the inspection** — It happens at the warehouse or port of origin, timed with cargo cut-off so it doesn’t slow the shipment.
2. **Physical inspection** — Quantities, packaging condition, markings, models, serials and labeling — all documented with photographs.
3. **Document cross-check** — We compare what we verified against the invoice, the packing list and the customs entry data; every difference is reported to be fixed before shipping.
4. **A report with a clear call** — You get the report with evidence and an operational conclusion: ship, fix before shipping, or hold.

## What you get

An inspection report with photo evidence, the discrepancies found and a clear ship/hold call — so your cargo leaves origin already compliant.

## Frequently asked questions

### How is this different from the inspection my customs broker does in Mexico?

Timing — and timing is the whole point. A broker’s pre-clearance inspection (the previo) happens once the cargo is already sitting in a bonded facility in Mexico: if something is off, you fix it with the goods held and storage charges running. An inspection at origin makes the same comparison — goods against documents — before the cargo ships, when a fix means relabeling a carton or reissuing an invoice.

### If I do this, will Mexican customs skip inspecting my cargo?

No. The authority keeps its right to inspect, and whether a shipment is pulled for examination is still decided at clearance. What changes is the outcome. If you are selected, what they find matches what you declared — and an inspection with no discrepancies is a formality. One with discrepancies is a hold.

### What discrepancies come up most often?

Quantities that do not match across the invoice, the packing list and the physical cargo; models, sizes or part numbers that are mixed or undeclared; serial numbers that do not correspond; labeling that does not meet Mexico’s commercial information standards; and country-of-origin marking that is wrong or missing. Almost none of it is bad faith. They are warehouse errors that customs reads as a false declaration.

### Will it delay my shipment?

It should not. We schedule it around cargo closing, so the inspection happens when the goods are ready but the container is not yet sealed. And if something does need fixing, those days at origin are far cheaper than the same days in a bonded facility in Mexico.
